This symposium explores the training of an existential/depth/relational model of group psychotherapy in Beijing. Both programs take place at the China Institute of Psychology, and intend to train the next generations of psychotherapy practitioners in China in this approach. Since clinical psychology is new in China, and since the trainers were all Americans, the issue of cross-cultural values, communication and relationships will be considered.
